Nuno Osório

Nuno S. Osorio is a biological scientist with a PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Minho in Portugal. He also obtained advanced training at Wageningen University in the Netherlands and the University of Rochester in the USA. Nuno is currently a researcher at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS) in Portugal and a professor at the School of Medicine at the University of Minho. With over 15 years of teaching experience at university level, Nuno coordinates five bioinformatics curricular units for different programmes. He also coordinates international postgraduate courses and teaches topics related to molecular biology and single cell omics. Nuno has been awarded projects for pedagogical innovation related to the use of Virtual and Augmented Reality in education and currently coordinates a multidisciplinary community of teachers at UMinho called XR-EdUM, dedicated to "Extending Reality in Education".
